If you hadn’t already figured it out by the above, Dean and Dan do drag for Dsquared2’s latest advertising campaign.

Lensed by Mert & Marcus and with art direction provided by Giovanni Bianco, the outlandish twins sport both their SS13 Menswear AND Womenswear collections in their black and white homage to Hitchcock and evidently Madonna.

While admittedly I wasn’t exactly the biggest fan of the latest collection (just a bit too much “show” as opposed to “substance” for my taste), the campaign is humorous, eye-catching and executed brilliantly. Having looked to the carefree, “when everything was perfect”, 90s for inspiration has liberated the brothers, so much so that their dormant “alter-egos” materialise into physical form – wearing fishnets, gold chains, corsets and sky high heels.

It takes A LOT of balls (or not in this case), to pull off something like this and still manage to keep your integrity as a designer in tact. Let’s face it, I highly doubt you would catch Raf or Riccardo in women’s clothes anytime soon…at least not outside of the bedroom…
