If you’re a famed shoe designer than you want someone with a best set of pins in the game to represent your brand. So the obvious choice would be Anja Rubik, who let’s her best feature , (her long legs), do all the talking as she stars in a decadent black and gold themed ad campaign lensed by Karim Zadli, for Giuseppe Zanotti’s autumn/winter 2013/13 collection. Check it out here.

The styling is wonderful but what’s even better is that the limited palette does not take away from the impact the gorgeous shoes have. They take centre stage and work with the overall look rather than been shrouded by it.

The influence of the collection comes form the work of Helmet Newton and his muses who were sexy, aggressive and timeless, all of which are embodied in 2012 by Anja. The 70’s influence works so well here and I’ll be putty in the hands of any ladies who I see wearing the golden snake/wave sandal…that’s a promise!
