AD CAMPAIGN: MIU MIU SPRING/SUMMER 2013 BY INEZ VAN LAMSWEERDE & VINOODH MATADIN
Posted on February 27, 2013
Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin take us to a secluded cabin with grey washed wooden walls and a crimson boudoir filled with females lounging provocatively in furs and leather on satin sheets, for the 1964 “Red Desert” inspired Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2013 advertising campaign.
Check out models Malgosia Bela, Bette Franke, Martha Hunt, Doutzen Kroes, Adriana Lima, Arizona Muse and Tamara Weijenberg in the seductive campaign below.
Inez & Vinoodh have delivered yet another capitativing campaign!
The Michelangelo Antonioni, “Red Desert” influence is beyond perfect for this campaign, with the film’s underlying theme of, “Woman trying to survive in the modern world of cultural neurosis and existential doubt”, being well thought out and tied in through both the casting and the composition.
The collection’s retro influence is conveyed superbly through the styling and setting and each image from the story immediately draws the viewer in and begs for every nook and cranny of the interior to be explored thoroughly, while always remaining focused on the garments.
