Kati Nescher and Jonas Kesseler star in the new Tom Ford autumn/winter 2012 campaign, lensed by the great man himself. Unfortunately for me this campaign is very hit and miss and I’m usually a big fan of the Tom Ford campaigns. Check it out.

Let us start with the part of the campaign I like – All the close up eyewear shots on the metallic bronzed background, I think they work well compared to the other shots, especially when you put the Tom Ford logo in and, ignore the dodgy photoshop cut work in places. Now lets move on to the very bad. The full length shots of Jonas in my opinion are awful and that’s primarily to do with his poses and strange facial expressions.

The bright red hued images of Kati Nescher certainly stand out amongst most of the winter campaigns this season and I can just imagine the impact in a glossy magazine, however I much prefer the purity of the Gwyneth Paltrow-fied version of this caped dress in terms of styling and colour. As beautiful as Kati looks, the lustful red with the vamp look is just too much for me and sadly takes away from hollywood glamour of the gown.

Ah well, I still think he’s awesome anyway!
