The above suit, on me…absolute SLAYAGE! I’d be like a walking Gustav Klimt painting!

Check out the images from the Alexander Mcqueen Spring/Summer 2013 menswear showing/look book from Milan Fashion Week with some of my key notes on colours and influences below.

“Male vanity. The peacock male and the English gentleman. A timeless study of character and style”, was Sarah Burton’s main influence behind this wonderful collection. The decadent and rich colour palette of  gold, ochre, silver, coral, nude, sky blue, ice, navy, black, cream and grey were made that much more extravagant through silk. The primary focus was on the semi relaxed silhouette, the dapper gentleman and the stunning use of colour and texture. Three piece suits, with dotted micro prints or silk, tailored blazers coupled with loose fitting trousers, contrast lapels, extraordinary painting-like metallic prints, prince of wales check double breasted blazer, almost every pocket adorned with silk pocket squares, pajama shirts, a gorgeous dragon fly motif embroidered suit, my favourite metallic blocked amalgamation of a suit (above), leathered outwear and tasselled slippers, a perfect homage to the growing child who has everything he could ever dream of, except the one thing he would sell his soul for…immortality.
