When Burberry tweeted a picture of the jacket from the above header image, I knew I was going to love this collection and am praying the bomber ends up in my wardrobe…

Check out the images from the Burberry Spring/Summer 2013 menswear catwalk at Milan Fashion Week with some of my key notes on colours and influences below.

An array of neon sweet wrapper-esque colours that wrapped more sombre traditional Burberry Prorsum wear was the main influence here. Something about bright metallic wear just reminds me of the 90s. The traditional colour palette of grey, black, washed red, burgandy, teal, navy, ochre and khaki, was immediately livened up with youthful neon pinks, yellows, aqua, mint, orange and copper all in their sugary iridescent forms. The primary influence was on the metallic details from collars details and shirts to bomber jackets and tote bags, the dazzling foil outerwear, geo/ethnic patterned ties, jackets and long length shirts, a slim male silhouette with tailored suiting, and of course my pet hate, sandals with socks, albeit on this occasion something clearly hyponitising about the metallic brightly coloured metallic strapped footwear seemed to get my vote! *Shock*

Every night until next year, I will be dreaming about the last 4 contrast sleeved metallic leather bombers…and much to the dismay of my pillow, most likely drooling in my sleep.
