Hooray for All Saints SS13!

The brand’s new commercial and cleaner look has divided many fans recently, (including myself), however this Spring/Summer sees the perfect compromise to appease us all!

THE LEATHER CALLERTON BIKER JACKET FROM ALL SAINTS

There are two fashion staples that my bountiful wardrobe doesn’t hold, and I’ve been wanting both for the past 3 years. The first is a black leather man bag, (my friend had a soft leather Céline tote that I wanted to steal but my conscience got the better of me), and a black leather jacket. The reasons why it’s taken me so long to buy either is because I want something classic and high-end but with the “cool but not so obviously cool” factor.

Now I have even more of a Dilemma. I’m literally like a Vampire who’s spotted some fresh young type-O throbbing neck when it comes to the colour oxblood, so it’s only natural that I recently been seduced by the leather Callerton Biker Jacket from All Saints. More specifically, by the above image with it’s shimmering deep crimson and the contorted and twisted kid skin leather. That, my friends, is the All Saints I love, and from their autumn/winter 2012 menswear collection, here’s what I would wear with it!

THE DWELL CARDIGAN FROM ALL SAINTS

Granted, aside from the graphic tees, I haven’t exactly been over the moon with the new autumn/winter menswear collection from All Saints (the womenswear on the other hand, I think is much more interesting). But that doesn’t mean I haven’t come across some great pieces that soothe my heartache over their unique, draped, layered and raw edged archive styles pre 2011.

Take this beautiful chunky knit oatmeal coloured Dwell Cardigan, which is the best of both worlds – the original unconventional style, with a quirky metal hook and bar fastening, blended effortlessly with their new, albeit “commercial” stance. What’s even better about this particular item is that it’s thick and comfy enough to be used as an alternative to a winter coat.

Versatile, well made and cost effective! What more could you ask for this winter?

The Dwell Cardigan (available in Midnight and Oatmeal) – £110 from UK All Saints or $175 from US All Saints

THE “FLOWERS TONIC SCOOP” T-SHIRT FROM ALL SAINTS

With the sprightly floral trend evolving into something much more sinister this autumn/winter, and of course my on-going obsession to find menswear items that fit the current womenswear trends, my favs All Saints have stocked this beautiful Flowers Tonic Scoop t-shirt, with a photographic design printed with discharge inks and dead flowers that have been pressed into the artwork.

JEWELLERY MY WRIST YEARNS FOR – ALL SAINTS PLUME BRACELET

In one of my earlier posts in regards to All Saints, I raved on about how I loved the womenswear autumn/winter collection that tiny bit more than the mens, and this Plume Bracelet another reason why.

THE HOLY TRINITY OF ALL SAINTS

If you hadn’t noticed by now, the autumn/winter 2012 collection from All Saint’s has me salivating – but it’s not the menswear that’s got me all excited, it’s the impeccable womenswear.

THE CORDUANE DAMASCUS SHORT RANGE FROM ALL SAINTS

For that easy wear no fuss summer style, look to All Saints and their Corduane Damascus Short range. As described by the brand, this slim fit short is “made from garment dyed 14 wale cord manually sand blasted and lightly laundered for a vintage effect. The Corduane Damascus comes with a brown leather patch, signature ram skull profile stitch and rust finished shanks and rivets.”

‘A SUMMER IN All SAINTS’ – MY TOP 10 ITEMS

Over the past few years the beautiful earthy colour palette that clothing brand All Saints are known for has slowly been lifted with injections of bright colour, albeit in a washed, bleached or ombre dyed fashion. This has allowed the retailer to vastly expand upon the types of garments it manufactures without losing their core identity.

So being the great lover of All Saints I am, (you only have to check my boot collection for proof), I thought I would bring you some of my favourite new ‘brighter’ menswear pieces to mix & match as you please this summer!
