Dear Harrods – EMPLOY ME!!!!!

Boasting one of the best festive schemes as always, earlier this month, luxury department store Harrods unveiled their spectacular Once Upon A Dream Disney Princess window scheme in Knightsbridge, with 10 members of Disney royalty dressed in one of a kind gowns designed exclusively by 10 high end fashion designers – Roberto Cavalli, Elie Saab, Oscar De La Renta, Versace, Escada, Ralph & Russo, Valentino, Jenny Packham, Marchesa and Missoni.

So put on that compilation from the 90s (when Disney made REAL movies with REAL meaning), and check out all the beautifully constructed schemes here, compiled alongside the stunning sketches from the creative team at Harrods.. Nothing says Christmas to me like childhood nostalgia!

PIC O’THE DAY

As part of the Harrods “Disney Princess” themed windows, Elie Saab encapsulate the “natural grace and innocence of Aurora”, the Princess from Sleeping Beauty with a beautiful embellished pale pink gown.

The window itself is absolutely beautiful! It’s a scheme devised in a similar way to how I work when creating certain pieces of artwork (which will be revealed later this month). Peering through the layers, you’ll always find small hidden something that draws your attention in the most enchanting way.

I love the overgrown florals and thorns, cursed spindle and cobwebs, all of which have been illuminated with an eerie blue light.  Nostalgia at it’s finest! I would absolutely love to work with their Creative team one day!

Stay tuned for a full post on all these magical window schemes!

The ‘exhibition’ known as Dilston Grove, features a lush green interior that will continue to grow as time goes on.

ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA’S CYBERSPACE STORE

Earlier today, I had a slight fanboy moment. The Ermenegildo Zegna twitter account started following me & asked about my favourite Zegna digital project. Naturally I was smiling from ear to ear (and screaming inside), I mean this is the brand that I’ve looked to for inspiration. Everything from what it means to be a luxury brand with impeccable product to styling garments & models from the times I’ve art directed formalwear shoots. The first & most obvious thing that came to mind was their 3D inSTORE project.
