Now we all know that I haven’t been her biggest fan when it comes to editorials, photography and her fashion choices but Twilight star Kristen Stewart had me floored when I came across the new July cover of Vanity Fair. She looks incredible! Puppy and all.

Check out a few more images by the acclaimed Mario Testino, and a behind the scenes video of the shoot in Paris.

Behind The Scenes

That awkwardness is still present in some of the shots but I am happy with the image they used for the cover. Saying that this is probably one of the best shoots she has ever done. The video is even more impressive, with Kristen looking stunning. The locations coupled with the breathtaking Couture are out of this world, but would we expect anything less from Testino?

These glamourous looks are so much more refreshing and star-like than what I’m usually accustomed to seeing Kristen wearing. The huge Dior Couture gown is epic! Stylist Jessica Diehl has done an amazing job.

In the accompanying interview, the actress touches on the constant criticism she receives on the red carpet, “I get some serious shit about it. I’m not embarrassed about it. I’m proud of it. If I took perfect pictures all the time, the people standing in the room with me, or on the carpet, would think, What an actress! What a faker! That thought embarrasses me so much that I look like shit in half my photos, and I don’t give a fuck. What matters to me is that the people in the room leave and say, ‘She was cool. She had a good time. She was honest.’ I don’t care about the voracious, starving shit eaters who want to turn truth into shit. Not that you can say that in Vanity Fair!”

Oh Kristen, isn’t that part of being in the public eye? Unfortunately for her I believe she needs to start seeing the red carpet as “playing dress up” too and maybe then the criticism that evidently gets to her will die down.

Oh the woes of the rich and famous!
