COVER: LANA DEL REY BY NICOLE BENTLEY, VOGUE AUSTRALIA, OCTOBER 2012
Posted on September 5, 2012
It looks like singers are taking over the fashion word this autumn/winter as the beautiful Lana Del Rey graces the cover of Vogue Australia’s october issue.
Amidst a gold foiled masthead, the stunning Born To Die singer gazes intently in a floral Gucci embellished dress in the Nicole Bentley lensed cover that has an overall vintage feel about it and put’s Lana in her element.
Check out the accompanying 50s/60s inspired editorial, which also fits the “Lana aesthetic” down to a tee!
The one thing I love about Lana is the way she carries her brand throughout everything she does. The black and white shot of her sitting in a Shakuhachi crystalized peplum dress with that glorious plaited updo looks as if it was taken 60 years go!
From the vintage paraphernalia around her, to the inclusions of butterflies, bird and florals within her styling, everything here highlights that innocent vulnerability the singer seems to carry with her. It is the Lana way after all.
