COVER: TANER CEYLAN, VOGUE TURKEY, NOVEMBER 2012

For their “art themed” issue, Vogue Turkey commissioned the provocative painter and artist, Taner Ceylan to create a disturbingly dark, surreal and erotic collage for their November cover.
You’re either going to love it or hate it and I absolutely love it! It’s refreshing when fashion magazines, (especially Vogue), think outside the box and do something a little bit different, and granted although the whole “Vogue” brand it somewhat lost (with the cover looking almost Numero/Taschen cover-esque), I applaud Vogue Turkey for pushing the boundaries and creating a little bit of controversy in the name of art.
To be honest, the cover won me over when I clocked the silhouettes of flying birds… #SilhouetteWhore
