Check out the images from the Givenchy Autumn/Winter 2013 menswear catwalk at Paris Fashion Week with some of my key notes on colours and influences below.

Where Tisci’s spring/summer collection saw the sacredness of the Madonna & Child, his riskee but refined Autumn/Winter collection merged this sacredness with sexuality through provocative Neoclassical prints, sporty proportions and couture like compositions. The monochromatic colour palette representative of the dark American urban slant the designer chose to focus on, saw what I like to term as the “good guy gone bad”, don NSFW erotic prints on shirts and over-sized sweatshirts with leather shorts, bombers & puffers tied around the waist, military-like studded shirts, argyle knits emblazoned with imagery, and garments alluding to the stitching detail of a baseball but composed with Frankenstein-like proportions in mind, finished off with metal plated shoes that reflected the flickering flames of the candles adorning Riccardo’s road from salvation.
