I can already picture Tilda Swinton floating down the red carpet in these wonderful designs.

Check out the images from the Haider Ackermann  Spring/Summer 2013 Womenswear show at Paris Fashion Week, with some of my key notes on colours and influences below.

For his beautiful but dark Spring/Summer 2013 collection, designer Haider Ackermann stuck close to his sartorially elegant “Swinton” aesthetic but with a more sombre colour palette of black, grey, navy, chocolate, steel, silver and white, which were translated through polka dots, tiled shapes and origami-like folds. The primary focus was on an elongated and tall silhouette with an array of impeccable tailored suits, cinched at the waist by a wide obi leather belts and carrying an air of the east, luxurious wide legged jacquard trousers trailing on the floor, paired prints such as striped unstructured blazers paired with printed silk trousers, an abundance of layering with sheer dresses, both plain and polkadot, the fronts of which were tucked into streamlined suits while their trains fluttered behind the pale faced and purple lipped models that grieved in silence and let their garments tell their sorrowful stories.
