UK designers including Sarah Burton, Christopher Bailey, Paul Smith, Julien MacDonald and Matthew Williamson have all customised the iconic ANT chair by Fritz Hansen to raise money for Jamie Oliver’s Big Chair Project.
According to the celebrity chef’s website, “The BIG Chair Project is the brainchild of The Better Food Foundation, the charity founded by Jamie Oliver. Back in 2002, Jamie established a unique and pioneering restaurant group called Fifteen, that uses the magic of food to give young people a chance to have a better future. Ten years on, hundreds of apprentices have graduated from the programme, which trains unemployed youngsters to become professional chefs. With 2012 marking the 10th anniversary, it was time to do something a little celebratory to raise much-needed funds for the next 10 years.”
Each bespoke chair will be auctioned to raise funds for the Better Food Foundation however, by entering the online lottery for £5 you could be in the chance of winning one of 6 chairs by Jamie Oliver and David Loftus, Cath Kidston, Julien MacDonald, Matthew Williamson, Superdry or Emma Tissier creation!
