Check out the images from the Kenzo Spring/Summer 2013 Womenswear show at Paris Fashion Week, with some of my key notes on colours and influences below.

With travel and heritage being an extremely important source of inspiration for designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, Kenzo took us once again on an exotic, chic but practical trek through the jungle for their womenswear Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The vibrant colour palette consisting of mint, khaki, ice blue, cobalt, tobacco, tan, yellow ochre,  tangerine, teal, turquoise and ivory translated directly into trippy animalier, floral and foliage prints, while the primary focus was on the laid back models trekking down the runway in intermixed materials and patterns, safari inspired oversized jackets and shorts,  sleeveless jumpsuits belted at the waist and tucked into long slouchy boots, swathing trousers and parachute dresses, oversized arms on bombers, off the shoulder peplum tops and dresses, large pocket details, the signature updated tiger jumper, finishing with a clash of vivid and energetic leopard prints and tribal inspired sandals.

PS: TOTALLY diggin’ the tiger paw necklaces!
