LADY GAGA’S “FAME” PERFUME AD BY STEVEN KLEIN
Posted on July 17, 2012
Lady Gaga lays down a la Rose from Titanic and channels the spirit of Gulliver’s Travels albeit in an somewhat erotic way, for her new advert for “The First Ever Black Eau De Parfum”, Fame. Check it out here.
It’s such a shame that the Bad Romance hit maker described the scent as that of
blood and seamen an expensive hooker, because the result of the collaboration with Steven Klein is far from a cheap, STD, riddled mess. There’s nothing more beautiful than a black/gold combination plus the pose and concept is artistic and well executed as opposed to being trashy. The muscular, masked imps cover her modesty in a way that doesn’t look forced as they become obsessed over the masked Gaga “monument” a clear allusion to the Fame concept and an underlying feminine empowerment, while she holds the source of her worldwide power contained within an elaborate bottle in her clawed hand, a power that has enchanted and gained her a army of “Monsters” from this earthly plane and beyond!
