Check out the images from the Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2013 Womenswear show at Paris Fashion Week, with some of my key notes on colours and influences below.

Miuccida Prada’s dark Spring/Summer 2013 collection had a air of “almost but not quite” – Almost elegant, almost feminine, almost couture, almost spring (furs for summer!?), and almost innocent, underlined with a subtle nod to the 50s. The colour palette ranged from black, white, navy, taupe, red, brown, khaki and hints of pink, while the primary focus was on a ink like denim made chic in the form of pencil skirts and both cropped and elongated jackets sensually revealing bra styled tops which were seen again in crinkled and patent form, as the “Miu-models” made their way down the runway. Oddly there was an a abundance of fur, from paint splatter patterned long stoles to capes, jackets and jumpers, silk dresses that looked as if they had been they had been violently attacked with coloured brush strokes, boxy tops, girly bejewelled sandals paired with ultra lady-like gloves, that were either emphasising the importance of accessories, or being used to help cover up something wicked these “Miu-models” were about to commit.
