After numerous threats of ‘whipping’ and ‘cracking’ various parts of my anatomy, Dennis Veldman finally got his own way and left me with no choice but to upload his mesmerising, beautiful but foreboding shoot entitled ‘Black’ today (instead of tomorrow). Check it out!

Veldman has channeled his inner demons into these shots & the results are stunning. The slight grain & severely black and white fabrication of the final photographs accomplish Veldman’s aim of replicating the ominous feelings from his “dark days”. The ferocity captured in the eyes of his subjects is slightly obscured by the veil of hair concealing their faces, yet the intensity of their focus is so high it is almost as if the models see beyond the lens, & penetrate the very depths of your soul.

    Very very nice.
I looked at the five pictures above and I must say VERY NICE.
I love the first picture the most because of the shades and face.
The second could be the cover of The Ring or The Grudge, very spooky abd mysterious.
The other three are just very nice but didn’t made me feel responding ;-).

I see the ‘Grudge’ like reference lol

I like viewing these as a whole rather than separately, they’re almost like different moods/traits but tied to one person.
