The beautiful grey/green/lime combinations in this collection are definitely going to find their way into my ss2013 wardrobe!

Check out the images from the Ports 1961 Spring/Summer 2013 menswear catwalk at Milan Fashion Week with some of my key notes on colours and influences below.

Volume, optimism by way of colour and the saying “It’s all in the details” were definitely the main influences in here. A summer collection of white, grey, navy, sunflower yellow, saffron yellow, rose pink, lime and pale green, and lilac colour palette made it’s way down the runway in both cotton and shimmering silks. The primary focus was on the chic, innovated updated staples with a futuristic edge. Boxy shirts with hidden buttons paired with loose shorts above the lengthened the male silhouette, fitted knitwear with a square geo print tucked into trousers and belted, beautiful, pastel coloured, silk double and single breasted suits, both plain and in check, sheer and shirts with bold geometric prints, almost resembling Bassetts sweets all finished off with candied leather hold-alls and shoes. I have to also give a special mention to that stunning saffron coloured trench! TDF!
