Imagine we did P.E in this gear at school!? Hot Tamale!

Check out the images from the Prada Spring/Summer 2013 menswear catwalk at Milan Fashion Week with some of my key notes on colours and influences below.

Re-imagined 70s details with an overall sportswear influence ruled the stark yet atmospheric Prada runway. A strict colour palette of burgundy, navy, cornflower blue, white, grey and black were interlaced with green, cream and mocha. The primary focus was on the retro inspired sporty elements with headbands, boxy shorts, sandals (once again paired with socks! Eeek!), low cut crew necks and vests while the idea of contrasts was present in trousers adorned with panelled stripes, contrast collars on polos and shirts, stark but beautifully colour blocked outerwear and shirts, and even with the males striding down the catwalk, as female models appeared side by side donning the retro collection in places, and thus blurring the gender lines as only Miuccia Prada can do.
