RAF SIMONS MEN’S SPRING/SUMMER 2013 – PARIS FASHION WEEK

Check out the images from the Raf Simons Spring/Summer 2013 menswear catwalk at Paris Fashion Week with some of my key notes on colours and influences below.
A New York downtown art dealer with a grunge/androgynous/feminine influence was prevalent here, through both the wet look strip of hair and over-all styling. Opposites that most definitely attracted. The colour palette initially ranged from black, white, greys and navy and teal and transitioned into more feminine and spring-like hues of tangerine, pink, yellow, green and copper with bright blue and yellow floral patterns on outerwear. The primary focus was on shorts with slits, boxy shirts, bright bombers, contrasting formal wear with trainers (my one pet hate unfortunately), checked coats, floral print oversized collars and the pastel pink outerwear over an abstract picasso-esque printed shirt, a clear throwback in my opinion to his last showing for Jil Sander and his creative genius.
