RELAXED, REFINED, REISS – MY SMART-CASUAL COMBINATIONS TO STAY EFFORTLESSLY COOL

Posted on May 29, 2012

What I love about Reiss is is the ability to mix and match almost everything from their beautiful range of product and look effortlessly cool. The ability to re-work elements of their more casual range to achieve a smarter look at night is perfect for those who want to achieve that relaxed yet refined look.

Here are a few combinations of blazers, trousers and accessories that I believe work perfectly for those summer days and nights. I’ll let you pick the shirts & tees, otherwise you’ll never learn!

Victor B Single Breasted Blazer - £225, Victor T Trousers - £89, Camille Impressionist Print Tie - £49

This beautiful suit is great for summer, I love how the pattern in the tie coordinates perfectly with the bronze colour of the suit.  If the shirt/tie combo is too much for you, then I would go for a simple plain white tee.

Irving B Two Button Notch Lapel Blazer -£195, Wickham Casual Pressed Trouser - £49, Yacht Coral Pocket Square - £20

This is definitely my (imaginary) Yacht outfit. The combination of the pink, bordeux and coral just seem to work so well together. I would opt for a a crisp plain white shirt and dark brown brogues or the Havelock loafers to complete this look.

Valentine B Double Breasted Blazer -£225, Venus Off White Garment Dye Chinos -£89, Havanna Printed Pattern Pocket Square - £20

Clearly I’ve been inspired by sitting in the park for the past week on the green grass, looking at the blue sky and the white clouds roll by (Ha!). The look is somewhat nautical but the green Havanna pocket square adds a nice twist and pops nicely against the navy of the blazer. How about the dark tan Clements brogue for this look?

Wilkes B Mid-Blue Double Breasted Blazer, Wilkes T Mid-Blue Trousers £110, Coppola Rose Print Pocket Square - £20

I love the combination of this mid/navy blue with a pop of orange. It reminds me of that time of day when the sun is setting and the sky begins to go a very dark teal. If the look is too formal, substitute the trousers for light grey chinos.

Irving B Two Button Notch Lapel Blazer -£195, Mason Slim Fit Trousers - £95, Doulton Floral Print Pocket Square - £20, Haley Suede Brogue - £139

I’ve added the suede brogue here because I love it and it goes perfectly with this outfit. The fashion fit Irving B blazer in airforce blue against the latte colour of the Mason chinos is a match made in heaven, while the pocket square just ties everything together perfectly. Definitely pair this with a a white shirt rather than a tee.

Princeton Linen Patch Pocket Blazer - £295, Dusk Sand Chinos - £95, Yacht Navy Pocket Square - £20, Mayar Canvas Shopper - £79

The linen blazer is great for the summer and also is extremely versatile in terms of what you can pair with it. The overall look is playful, fun and doesn’t try too hard and the boost of colour with the sand coloured chinos really prints it up to date. A white shirt would look great however how about a navy tee instead? Reiss have the Ritcher tee with a quirky v-neck fold detail that would look great.

All of these products are available in-store and online at Reiss
