RICK OWENS MEN’S AUTUMN/WINTER 2013 – PARIS FASHION WEEK

Check out the images from the Rick Owens Autumn/Winter 2013 menswear catwalk at Paris Fashion Week with some of my key notes on colours and influences below.
If you have by chance come across the backstage interview with Rick Owen’s on the Antonioli website, then you’ll know have noticed how the designer likes to throw the word “swagger” around regarding his understated Autumn/Winter collection. While “safe” would probably be the word I would use to use describe it, Mr Owens as always delivered with his signature monotone colour palette, a hint of camel and cream, and being a winter collection, interpolations of fur on bulky boots, mammoth sized gloves and jackets. Elongated tank tops fell just above the knee of simple skinny leather trousers, but it was the mink bombers, cowl necked parka’s and voluminous coats reminiscent of eastern robes, belted tightly or clasped at the waist where the designer really distinguished himself from his past collections.
