By far my favourite show of Paris Fashion Week! It’s literally heavenly!

Check out the images from the Rick Owens Spring/Summer 2013 Womenswear show at Paris Fashion Week, with some of my key notes on colours and influences below.

To counter the darkness of the past, Rick Owens looked to the future and summoned an army of angelic avatars for his Spring/Summer 2013 showing. Heavenly models strode down the catwalk with their Gustav Klimt’s “Judith” inspired do’s and foam clouds tumbling behind them, dressed in a predominantly neutral colour palette of black, white, cream, taupe, nude, light grey, wheat, silver and gold, while the primary focus was on airy and voluminous tops that cocooned over skirts, both sheer and silk, regal capes, crinkled and pleated sheer strapless goddess gowns, sleeveless robes fastened with matt gold disks, plastic rainwear, stunning but simple maxi-length dresses with just as simple architectural patterns, gorgeous all black patent leather python print tops layered over leather skirts, feathered skirts and tunics and an overall emphasis on shoulders and the waist, all finished with divine roman heeled sandals adorned with metallic plates.

Mr Owens and his Seraphim definitely delivered us from our own personal evils here!
