STELLA MCCARTNEY WOMEN’S SPRING/SUMMER 2013 – PARIS FASHION WEEK

Check out the images from the Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2013 Womenswear show at Paris Fashion Week, with some of my key notes on colours and influences below.
Coming straight from her “stint” at the London 2012 Olympics, Stella McCartney intermixed her standard concotion of masculinity with femininity, with lashings of minimalism and a dash of sportswear for her Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The bold colour palette of tangerine, lawn green, dark green, cobalt, khaki, tan, black and white, complimented the athletic nature of the garments while the primary focus was on the volume, layering and solidifying the fragility of the construction and fabrication, with confident models sporting languid and large sheer bombers and sweatshirts over dresses, loose and low belts wrapped around utility style waistcoats and wrap dresses, oversized suits, animal print silk jump-suits, perforated and peplum elements and finally beautiful raw edged silk organza embroidered globules layered onto opaque midi length tea dresses.
