MY THOUGHTS ON THE EPIC FINALE OF THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN PART 2

NOTE: This post contains a multitude of movie spoilers

It all ended on Sunday.

Slightly hungover, and dying for food, I made my way into the Purley Way Vue Cinema, accompanied by a bunch of delusional women fighting over who was Edward Cullen’s wife, got my popcorn, nachos smothered in melted fake cheese, a big ass drink, tissues at the ready, and made my way into a comfy VIP seat, right in the middle of the cinema.

So before going any further, here’s a MAJOR SPOILERS WARNING, as being the Twihard that I am, I want to share a few things about the movie I loved.

DISNEY TEAM UP WITH BARNEY’S NEW YORK AND A WHOLE HEAP OF FASHIONISTAS FOR AN “ELECTRIC HOLIDAY”

You know you’ve hit the big time when you’re transformed into a cartoon courtesy of Disney!

Check out how a “Skinny Minnie” Mouse, (take that literally!), dressed in Lanvin, found herself walking down a catwalk in Paris surrounded by an all star animated fashion cast including, Alber Elbaz, Linda Evangelista, Steven Meisel, Bryan Boy, Anna Dello Russo Lady Gaga, Naomi Campbell, Sarah Jessica Parker, Franca Sozzani and many more, in this short animated film for the launch  of the Holiday windows for US department store Barney’s, New York.

Unfortunately the animated film, brought to life by the magic of Disney, has met some controversy since it’s release, as Minnie and her fellow Disney comrades are magically transformed into super skinny, doe eyed versions of themselves while strutting down the runway in designer garb from the likes of Balmain, Lanvin, Proenza Schouler, Balenciaga and more.

Check it out along with my thoughts.

MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA FOR H&M TRAILER

With the launch of Maison Martin Margiela for H&M only a few days away, (November 15th 2012 to be exact), the brands have released a trailer starring a variety of dancers at one with the garments they wear in an eerily deserted Paris. Each of their movements relates to items history, form and the MMM aesthetic, which when coupled with the urban setting, leaves us with a luxurious, affordable and more importantly wearable collection.

I’m counting down the days!

JULIA ROBERTS GLOWS FOR THE LANCÔME “LA VIE EST BELLE” FRAGRANCE ADVERTISEMENT

“In a world full of diktats and conventions, could there be another way?”…Yes, the Julia way!

The 44 year old actress, looks resplendent in a floor length white crystal studded gown in the new Lancôme La Vie Est Belle fragrance commercial directed by none other than Tarsem Singh, who directed her last film, Mirror Mirror.

Julia enters a private party where everyone is seen as a mere “puppet”.
