COVER: WALLPAPER MAGAZINE, STYLE SPECIAL, MARCH 2013

Over the past two months, you’ve seen me post a multitude of covers featuring the new checkered Louis Vuitton collection, but good ol’ Wallpaper* Magazine, being both the visually seductive and informative read that it is, has done something they all didn’t do – Interviewed the “master minimalist” behind Marc Jacobs and his popular Spring/Summer range, Monsieur Daniel Buren.

And if that wasn’t enough, the content featured on the simple, stylish and sharp monochrome LV cover with a square hit of oxblood red will be sure to give me yet another excuse to escape from the confines of my room for a sour dough sandwich and some hot chocolate, with articles on the Proenza Schouler duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandezduo, King Karl and all things Haute and glam! Hooray!

The Wallpaper* March 2013 issue is in stores now and is also available to purchase and view on your iPad

COVER: DREW BARRYMORE BY DANIEL JACKSON, HARPER’S BAZAAR US. MARCH 2013

It’s another day and yet another drama LV cover, with Drew Barrymore looking absolutely radiant wearing an item from the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2013 collection, on the March’s Harper’s Bazaar US. Although I’ve never found the actress to be  that appealing when it comes to her looks, I think I speak for everyone when I say this is probably the best Harper’s Bazaar she has looked in years.

While, I’ve haven’t been a fan of the magazine and they recent slew of gaudy covers, I happy to see someone other than Terry Richardson take the Harper’s helm. Daniel Jackson has given them a new lease of life, almost as if somebody opened a window and let in that much needed crisp fresh breeze into a stale room.

The equally striking subscribers cover where the actress wear Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2013 is below.

AD CAMPAIGN: LOUIS VUITTON SPRING/SUMMER 2013 BY STEVEN MEISEL

It was pretty much obvious what direction Louis Vuitton were going to go in after their Spring/Summer 2013 show, so I really at all surprised when I came across their latest campaign. Prada inspired aesthetic, it’s visually brilliant…although you can’t look at for more than a minute without your head spinning!

Naturally designer Daniel Buren was once again commissioned to create the large geometric set, (sans escalators and being as the collection was influence by his Les Deux Plateaux installation), an ode to the iconic Damier print and as Marc Jacobs described, “the message of repetition and the repetition of patterns”, which was further developed by using twin models styled and positioned in more or less the same manner.

AD CAMPAIGN: LOUIS VUTTION MENSWEAR AUTUMN/WINTER 2012 BY ALASDAIR MCLELLAN

With the handsome Werner Schreyer in tow for another season, Louis Vuitton have delivered yet another exceptional campaign that really allows the structure and textures of the beautiful collection to really be seen, amongst the absolutely breathtaking setting of a blue sky, glaciers, sea and snow.

The “Voyage” theme, that forms the foundations of their campaigns, goes further with the 1950s styling, (courtesy of Alister Mackie), which works perfectly here.

Check it out another image from the Alastair Mclellan shoot here.
