Why I’m dreaming of being a smart female in an advertising campaign I don’t know… #fail

Anyway, I originally began this blog to collate and critique fashion editorials and ad campaigns, having been someone who previously art directed a few over the past few years. So it’s only fitting that I should have this category in here to…just with a humorous twist of course…

The 2012 “I Want To Be In That Advertising Campaign Award” goes to…

DSquared2 Fall/Winter 2012 by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott!

Let’s face it, who wouldn’t want to relive their childhood in a sexy, fun and fashionable way!? Your classmates are a bunch of hot models including Daphne Groeneveld, Luik Bass, Benedikt Angerer, Ralf Javoiss, Frida Aasen, Bette Franke and Simon Van Meervenne, while both Dean and Dan surprise you with a bundle of new clothes, fresh off the runway AND teach you how to catwalk! Um YES PLEASE!

The full print campaign can be viewed here

Side note: My absolute favourite campaign (in print at least) is in fact Gucci Fall/Winter 2012, also by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot – You can check out the full campaign in all it’s decadent glory here – But seeing how well thought out and humorous the Dsquared2 “Substitutes” mini film was, it had to win this light hearted award.
