Adding to the ever growing list of cop-out deluxe edition covers, Chris Brown has revealed this “gem” of an amateur photoshop mess…

Just In case you were curious, here is the original cover.

The only thing that didn’t make sense to me on the original cover was the text in the background, it just doesn’t sit well. Other than that the cover is fine, in fact it’s pretty grown up & slick for Chris Brown. The deluxe edition however is a lazy photoshopped/diamond vector atrocity. I mean seriously, how on EARTH would his label RCA even allow this!? They could have at least had the decency to add some depth with shadows & highlights to the flat cut & paste job!

It even baffles me why once again another promo shot or outtake couldn’t be used for the cover. For example, this promo shot below.

I love it! But why on earth doesn’t his ‘creative’ team!? The image oozes wealth & power without the aid of flat ‘diamonds.’ Cropping this would have made a sexy, edgy but classy deluxe edition album cover IMO. Hell even cropping out the top half of the lady next to Chris and just showing him sitting there using her legs as his arm rest would have been totally P.I.M.P. *sigh*. If I can get my hands on a better resolution of the picture, I may just edit, photoshop and tweet it to Chris himself!

Fortune is expected to be released this year on July 3rd. Even though I’m a big fan of his music, this album will only be added to iTunes with my own custom made cover.

I totally agree! The cover is so tacky, and I think that they just want to feed the world with half done jobs instead of a well thought out piece of quality work! You HAVE TO DO your version. HAVE TO. And PLEASE tweet it to him. The world needs this!

If I can get my hands on the high res artwork and his ‘fortune’ logo I definitely will! lol
