Shiny suit + Summer Sunshine = Stone Groove Smash Hit Winner!

Check out the images from the Z Zegna Spring/Summer 2013 menswear catwalk at Milan Fashion Week with some of my key notes on colours and influences below.

A relaxed but confident Z Zegna man, away from the trials and formality of work was the main influence for this collection, which boasted a much more relaxed silhouette in a colour palette of gunmetal, grey, off-white, tan, cream, washed plum, khaki and pale green all also shown in their rather futuristic shimmering counterparts. The primary focus was on the boxier slightly oversized shape, “with a new, unstructured shoulder in tailoring.” Paul Surridge’s 4 buttoned blazers, cropped at the elbows glistened down the runway alongside micro prints reminiscent of Prada’s a/w collection. High waisted trousers we belted with over-sized shirts, reminiscent of retro military wear while a sporty influence found its way in by means of loose cargo and bermuda shorts, zipped pullovers, and perforated knitwear. Oh and speaking of knitwear, the cropped sleeve khaki/navy iridescent piece would look positively magical on me!
